Business growth and team expansion challenged the company to modernize corporate communications and improve the efficiency of internal processes. While using the previously used Yandex 360 solution, limitations were identified related to both functionality and scalability. As the number of employees increased, the subscription cost increased significantly, and the web interface became insufficient for full-fledged operations.
As a result, the company formulated requirements for the new system: centralized administration, support for shared calendars, flexible access rights management, and a high level of fault tolerance.
During the selection process, various options were considered, including Microsoft 365 and deploying an in-house Microsoft Exchange server. Following the analysis, LanCloud's Cloud Exchange cloud service was deemed the optimal solution.
The key factors in the selection were:
• No capital expenditures on infrastructure and licensing;
• Local hosting and technical support in Kazakhstan;
• Compliance with the requirements of Law No. 94-V of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Personal Data and its Protection";
• Flexible scalability and ease of administration.
The migration was completed by LanCloud specialists in a short timeframe. The transition occurred without interrupting business processes and with minimal impact on users.
As a result of the implementation, 2GIS-Astana received:
• Centralized management of accounts and access rights;
• convenient work with shared mailboxes and calendars;
• improved team collaboration;
• stable and reliable email service in daily use.
