LanCloud Launches Cloud IP Telephony for Office 365

At the end of 2015, Microsoft announced the possibility of connecting city phone numbers from telecom operators (PSTN) to Office 365. Office 365 now has a new Cloud PBX service, which is a full-fledged cloud-based PBX that allows you to replace your company's own corporate IP-PBX. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to directly connect Kazakh phone numbers to Office 365. The only option available to Kazakh companies is to purchase a server with Windows Datacenter, a VoIP gateway, and deploy 4 virtual servers of Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition, which is quite complicated and expensive.

To solve this problem, LanCloud has launched the Cloud PBX-365 cloud service, which allows customers to connect phone numbers from any Kazakh phone operator to Office 365. This eliminates the need for customers to purchase VoIP gateways or deploy virtual servers in their offices, as everything is handled directly from the cloud.

The customer signs a direct agreement with any telecom operator (purchasing numbers and lines) or uses their existing phone numbers. Then, the telecom operator connects the customer’s phone numbers to the LanCloud cloud via a standard SIP trunk. LanCloud integrates the telephony into the customer’s Office 365 tenant. After that, the customer can make and receive calls to and from any city or mobile phone numbers directly from the Skype for Business application on a PC, smartphone, or tablet (some Polycom IP phones are also supported).

Now, a full-featured Cloud PBX can be set up in Office 365 without using any on-premises equipment. More details are available here.
