OFFPRICE accelerated 1C:ERP operations with LanCloud cloud

OFFPRICE is a retail chain of more than 30 outlet stores offering over 400 clothing and footwear brands with discounts of up to 85%.
The company is developing rapidly, expanding both its store network and the range of products offered. To automate business processes, OFFPRICE uses the 1C:ERP “Enterprise Management” system, which supports financial management, HR tasks, and accounting. The 1C database contains hundreds of thousands of product items, and its volume is constantly growing. When the size of the 1C database exceeded several hundred gigabytes, the resources of the previously used cloud server became insufficient for the system to operate normally. Considering the critical importance of 1C:ERP for the company’s business, the management decided to change the cloud provider.
When choosing a new cloud service provider, OFFPRICE focused on ensuring high performance of virtual servers — especially CPU speed and storage performance — which are crucial for fast operation of the 1C Enterprise server, as well as the ability to scale resources quickly if needed. Based on comparative testing of various cloud platforms, OFFPRICE selected the Cloud Server service from LanCloud, built on the latest Intel Xeon Platinum v3 8354H processors running at 4.0 GHz. LanCloud’s cloud servers demonstrated superior CPU performance as well as high-speed SSD storage performance. Direct 1C performance testing also showed predictably strong results.
