SHISEIDO migrated its email service to LanCloud

Shiseido_news_bldng.jpgShiseido is one of the largest and oldest cosmetics companies in the world, owning brands such as Shiseido, Dolce & Gabbana, Nars, Clé de Peau Beauté, and others.

In the local Shiseido office, more than 100 employees actively use email in their daily work. For a long time, the company relied on an in-house Exchange Server 2007 mail system, which Microsoft discontinued last year, creating risks for secure ongoing operation. Additionally, limited disk space restricted mailboxes to 1 GB, which was insufficient for modern business needs.

Management set the task of migrating to a newer mail server version and significantly increasing mailbox sizes. After evaluating the costs of purchasing hardware, software, migration work, and ongoing maintenance, the company decided to use cloud services.

As a result, all objectives were successfully achieved: migration to a new mail server version was completed, mailboxes were expanded to 100 GB (100 times larger than before), and users gained a more convenient and accessible web interface. No additional servers or storage arrays were required for mail databases or backup copies.

The project received a testimonial from Shiseido.
